Building, Marketing and Managing the Cosmetic/Restorative Practice
Since the mid 1990's more and more people have sought out the Dentist for elective
cosmetic solutions. The esthetic revolution is now in full
swing, and as diseased based dentistry continues to decline,
successful dental teams have embraced elective dental care,
and are seeing it make dramatic differences in patient's
lives. Additionally, the baby boomer population is driving
the current
marketplace. Unlike their parents they expect to keep their
teeth for a lifetime, and yet will be living longer then
any other generation in history. Having a thorough understanding
of esthetics, occlusion, the use of the latest restorative
materials, as well as the behavioral understanding of this
population is critical for success.
This presentation is a must for the dental team who is ready to go to the next level. The changes in the marketplace require us to communicate with our patients differently. It requires us to learn new procedures, learn to work with new materials, and have a higher level of communication with the dental laboratory. But mostly, it requires all members of the dental team to be aware of these new exciting times, and have the tools to build the practice of our dreams.
In this program you will learn:
- How to ask the proper questions at the new patient examination, so that you will connect with the wants and needs of the patient.
- How to recognize the flaw in any smile-12 steps to a beautiful smile.
- How to use digital photography for codiagnosis, and practice growth.
- How to do a TMJ-Occlusal screening examination.
- How to properly schedule the new patient, and how to orchestrate this appointment so that you can gather the esthetic, occlusal, biologic and additional clinical information.
- How to set up your schedule for maximum quality, efficiency and production.
- How to professionally market yourself internally and externally.
- How to manage the team to create the synergy necessary to meet and exceed your goals.

The Cosmetic-Occlusal Connection
Description:
This program is designed to help the general practitioner take his or her dentistry to the next level. While many courses focus on the procedural aspect of dental treatment only, this seminar will help you visualize optimum dentistry from an aesthetic and functional perspective. Through Powerpoint and live video demonstration each participant will learn to apply the principles learned in the Dawson Center's Concept of Complete Dentistry series and to map out and sequence an appropriate course of treatment. Communication skills and scheduling techniques will also be reviewed in detail to increase your case acceptance rate, and get you doing more of the dentistry you would like to do! You will also learn to sequence cases optimally, when the patient's finances become an obstacle to optimum care. This course is a must for the Dentist who would like to do more elective esthetic, and advanced restorative cases.

Treatment Planning The Worn Dentition
Description:
The
aging baby boomer population presents itself with many unique challenges.
Unlike their parents they expect to keep their teeth in health and
function for their entire life. They also will be living longer
in a world with increased stresses, making occlusal wear/occlusal
disease
one of the greatest threats to their dentition. This same group
of people are also spending billions of dollars to stay healthy and
look their very best. Being able to design comprehensive treatment
plans that will address occlusal, aesthetic, biologic along with
the correct material selection will be essential to the successful
restorative practice.
Dr.
John Cranham presents his unique hands on workshop to learn from actual
cases how and why to develop a treatment plan that will meet and exceed
the expectations of the patient and the dental team. You will work
through actual cases restored by Dr. Cranham, to learn a predictable
approach to complex treatment planning.
In this program you will learn:
To increase the learning experience, Dr. Cranham recommends you bring in a case of your own to treatment plan with him. The following will be needed to make an adequate plan.
Mounted Diagnostic Study Models
Photographs of the patients face (smiling), close up smile, Lips at rest
Full mouth Series of Radiographs
Full Mouth Probing
Restorative Charting

Individual
study groups have individual interests and needs. This unique offering
allows you to customize a program for your study group. You can
combine a clinical, motivational and/or management lecture with
a hands on component at any level.
For example,
The Great Plains Seattle Study Club had an interest in a "records"
course to teach the group how to take face bows and mount the study
models on an articulator, plus learn the basic information on occlusion.
This request turned in to a 3-hour evening lecture and a half-day
demonstration/hands on workshop the next morning.
It's exactly
what they wanted and they were thrilled with the results. Contact
us today to learn more about customizing a program for your study
group.
